Vario S400 Sintering Oven

The Elements:

The purity of the Molybdenum (MoSi2) elements in the chamber ensures clean firings and longer periods between maintenance cycles. This results in more efficient operation and longer element lifespan.

The Thermocouple:

While many sintering ovens opt for the Type S thermocouple, Zubler chose to utilize the Type B for its temperature capabilities. While the type S is a good thermocouple, the type B has an increased maximum temperature capability of up to 1800°C in an oven with a maximum temperature setting of 1650°C. This results in an obvious lifespan increase, but also less boil off the metal resulting in a more consistent temperature accuracy over time.

The Sintering Dishes:

Material choices and sintering dish design are crucial to the success of the sintering process. The appearance of sintered zirconia can be affected by dish properties, while thermal shock and mechanical shock can shorten/lengthen the service life of a sintering dish. Designed for and specifically footed to accommodate stacking, the thickness and sturdy design of these trays lends to long service life while optimizing sintering results for both high strength and high translucent zirconia.

The TTC Feature! Linear Cooling:

Cracking and warping are common problems with full arch cases sintered and cooled too fast. Even cycles with seemingly low descent rates often do not maintain a linear even descent in most sintering ovens. Incorporated first into Zubler’s VARIO 200ZR ceramic oven, the TTC feature has proven a reliable method for cooling as the last stage sintering programs in the VARIO S400. The TTC feature controls temperature descent at a user defined degree-per-minute until the opening of the chamber ensuring a safer sintering process.

Advantages of the VARIO S400:

  • SPEED 99°C/Min Heat Rate Capability
  • (TTC) – Time Temperature Cooling (Linear cooling program control)
  • (PFC) – Power Failure Control allows the oven to resume a program from the point of interruption
  • 4 High Purity Molybdenum Disilicide (MoSi2) Heating Element with speed capabilities
  • 2 Stackable sintering dishes
  • Pre-Programmed Regeneration Maintenance Cycle
  • USB Port for Program transfers and software updates
